China Supercharges Clean Energy

Latest research by The Carbon Brief has shown that China’s clean-energy sectors – renewables, electric vehicles and batteries – drove a quarter of the country’s gross domestic product growth in 2024. Worth a whopping $1.9 trillion, the clean energy sectors have overtaken real-estate sales in value. This is expected to rise even further in 2025.
